I just got a second fingerprint notice and its in August. Does that mean that I can't get approved until after the fingerprint date?

Yes, you have to do second FP. But it means your case is touched, should be happy

what's your RD and first FP date

Fingerprints are unique to everyone in this world.
Its not like they are going to change, but I guess
its the procedure.

Again and again, it's not the fingerprints that get expired -- it is the RESULTS OF THE FINGERPRINT REVIEWS that get expired after 15 months.
See the difference?

For example, who knows that within 15 months after the last review, you've become wanted by the FBI?

Yes. I understand the difference.

But I don't understand why they don't keep fp data in their database. If they keep it, all they need to do is to rescan the data.

I am pretty sure there must be a good reason for issuing new FP notices instead of using the old FP's. Else someone would have questioned the procedure by now.

Try going for FP earlier than scheduled !! Many applicants have their FP done earlier than scheduled.

May be than your case would approved soon !

could be stupid question

would it be possible to be pro active and do the 2nd fps or we have to wait for ins notice?

sri,
U need FP Notice to do FP

links,
Nothing would be mentioned of early FP's...!!
Only scheduled FP dates would be mentioned...U can just give it a try before the scheduled FP date...

linkslinks, my RD and 1st FP dates are exactly the same. When did you receive your second FP notice? When was it issued? When is it scheduled for?

I also received 2nd finger printing this friday and I went for finger printing this saturday(07/26). They did not say anything and I was done in less 20 mins.

"But I don't understand why they don't keep fp data in their database. If they keep it, all they need to do is to rescan the data"

Well they might not use the FP data captured the first time because it might be a possiblity that the person might have lost a finger in the 15 months and the INS might want the most current info

It makes sense

I Don't know about NewYork I went to Sacramento BCIS application center and they are open tue to saturday.

had my 2nd FP at Newark today, almost a month before the scheduled date. took about one hour.
