2nd EAD approved

RD: Sep 2002
Approved: May 2003.
Card received: May 2003 (3 days after it was approved.)

Observation 1: Valid from May1st, while approved on May 13 and previous EAD expired Dec. 2002. :confused: :confused:

Observation 2: Says in a box- "Fingerprint Not Available.":eek: :eek: :mad:

Has anyone received EAD cards with this "Fingerprint Not Available" remark.

Fingerprint not available is normal.

The EAD application can be made along with a fingerprint in ink stamped on a card. BCIS seems to treat this as optional, and still issues an EAD as long as a signature is available.

I have used a similar EAD as proof of legal presence to obtain my security badge into NASA, where I need to go every day (can't tell you why :)).

You're OK.

What about your 1st EAD? the fingerprint column would have been blank on that too.
 
Hi lsamp,
First WAD was normal, received well within 90 days after RD of 765, and with signature and fingerprints.

This time it has signatures but no fingerprints. Is it because CSC do not have our fingerprints?

I guess, my finger print are still good for next 60 days, (done in Apr 2002), so they should have it. Right?
 
Interesting - When I applied for EAD (both 1at and 2nd), I never attached any fingerprints (on a card). So there was no fingerprint on the 1st EAD and I do not expect fingerprint on the 2nd EAD either(waiting for card).

I think the FP that is taken after we get the FP notice has nothing to do with EAD. It is for backgroung check only.
 
I did not have FP on my first EAD either .. Maybe becoz we rcvd our EADs before our FP were entered into the DB ..

lsamp, you are right. FP has nothing to do with prints on EAD card.

Thanks niladri30 and I485andI824 for the sharing the info.

I submitted prints both the time along with 765 and only this time I did not get prints on the card. Same weired unexplainable INS stuff. :(

Unless you attach a card with yout FP on it along with EAD application do not expect FP on EAD card. Even if you attach FP card you may very well end up with no FP on EAD card.

Giving FP (after receiving FP notice) at application support center has nothing to do with your EAD, let alone being entered into the system.
