245i - News! What is meant by the following??

12 March 2002 - The House of Representatives is expected to vote on Section 245(i) today as part of the Border Security Bill.

The current proposal will extend Section 245(i) until November 30, 2002 only for those employment based cases where it can be established that an employment based case (labor certification or equivalent) was filed prior to August 15, 2001. For family-based cases, it is required that the"familial relationship that is the basis of the application" existed before August 15, 2001.
 
House passed the extenstion of 245(i) yesterday but hardsell in Senate!

Many of the senators about this extension are cautious and there will be debate, if the bill passes in Senate then president will sign to become law.....

It just passed in House....
 
How would this affect the AOS processing for all the 485 filers who\'ve already applied for AOS?

Doesn\'t all the people who\'ve filed I-485 till now have their LC filed before August 15th 2001?
