Hello Guys,

I've been observing forums here since not very long, and I've been wondering something:

I am under a 245(i) case (see my details below) and I was wondering if not many people are under same case or is it that they just don't mention that in their details for some reason?

Anyone in the same boat?

My friend's wife is also awaiting 245(i); isn't that a petition for people who are already out of status ? That petition hasn't passed thru Congress yet.

Your detail doesn't show you're out of status.
 
It has been accepted by the congress.
In short: In 2001 there was a period of 4 months, I believe trough April 2001, where if you're employed but with expired visa thus out of status, you pay a fine of $1,000 and you can apply for GC thru the employment procedure: I-140, I-485 etc.

I am in same boat 245i.but i had rfe and transfer file in local office.see my details in transfer to local offce - thread.
