can i just go in ahead of time?

It might depend on the particular field office you are assigned to. If it's really close to where you live, you can just try a walkin and see what happens; if not (say, still 2-3 hours from where you live), do a bit of research to see if there are successful walkins reported by people assigned to the same office.

Regarding L1B

Hi Rajeev sir,

I have my L1B-Banket issued by my employer in Jan2010.I couldnt travel that
time because of some constraints.I travelled to US in May2013 and filed my
extension in Jan2013 for which i got an RFE.I submitted my RFE docs in April
and my extension has been rejected in May2013.Now i am back to India. I want
to know if I could reapply L1B-Blanket again and do we need to wait for some
time after denial and what would be the chance for its approval now. My
Employer is not applying for L1B-I/L1A.
So want to know the chance of getting L1-B Blanket again.

You can try but be preparred to answer some questions. Worked for us in the end but she wanted to see the reservation for our holiday, after a while they let us in but was a 50/50 chance we got refused and had to come to our scheduled appointment.

Finally received the NOA! Took quite a long time compared to other timelines.

I went ahead and walked in for FP. did it in 15 mins no questions asked. woohoo!!

Just checked my case number on USCIS.gov and saw that application is in line for interviewing. I am wondering if that means that the Fingerprint check was completed. I've had to have my FP taken a few times before they got it right and I was kinda worried about them being rejected.

Stuck inline for interview

Since June 3rd my case status says inline for interview. Does anyone in Hartford CT knows how long it normally takes in DO of Hartford CT to be inline?

Since June 3rd my case status says inline for interview. Does anyone in Hartford CT knows how long it normally takes in DO of Hartford CT to be inline?

For me it didn't change since June 24th for "inline for interview scheduling..." even if I saw in most cases it took a week tops. On the other hand I have not seen many updates on the forum lately. Could it be that because of 4th of July and summer vacations everything moves a slower pace?
