N-400 was mailed to Phoenix AZ on 8/6/10 with San Jose DO. Text message and email confirmation of acceptance were received today. Waiting for NOA.

Beware of the spreadsheet, we actually have a vandal who destroyed the other spreadsheet in a vicious manner. See the link below, unfortunately not all people on this board care about the idea of its existence.

As the person who started the "Somebody trashed" thread, I am afraid Al's post is misleading. There is no need to "beware" the spreadsheet. It has a complete version history and the spreadsheet owner (rpranesh) was able to quickly restore it after the problem. Since the problem hasn't reoccurred it seems more likely that the incident was due to accident or incompetence rather than vandalism.

In my opinion, the spreadsheet is our best tool for understanding timelines. It makes it quite clear that some of the assumptions people commonly make on the forum are not supported by the facts. For example, the best guide to your likely timeline is recent timelines of other people at the same DO. It's not the service center that counts, it's the DO. If you're in NYC, there's no point comparing your timeline with a filer from Baltimore. Another example - in most cases, going for "early walk-in" FP avails nothing. If it makes you feel like you're doing something to advance your case - or, of course, if you have a conflict and can't make the scheduled appointment time - it doesn't hurt to try for walk-in FP. But it won't move your case ahead of others from your DO who wait for their scheduled FP appointment.

I also received RFE email and status update USICS shows RFE. I also received FP notice. Is FP considered as part of RFE or does USICS really need some additional documents from me?
May be I am worrying too much :)
