2008 Lottery - Case Number

Hi all, I have just received my envelope congratulating me on the Lottery. My Case Number is: 2008AF000013**... Is this a good Case Number to have? Also, when +- should I expect a interview date? Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations. You have a relatively low case number and you should expect ur case to be called sometime in May or june next.
Which country are you from in Africa(thats also important to determine the likely time ur interview will be).

2008AF000013** is a very low number for Africa. I would think that number would be current in October 2007.

You stand a better chance with south Africa.The cases for 2008 will start processing by october 2007.Make sure u visit www.travel.state.gov to get monthly visa bulletin.With the Visa bulletin u will know when ur case will be called for interview.
Make sure u start preparing ur docvuments now.
Visit www.sausa.org u will find a lot of south African interview experiences there and how people go about the processing in south africa.

Congratulations!!!I presume ur number will be current in early 2008. My number is 17xxx for Africa this year & my number is current in April.

Good luck! Get your original documents in order. The police clearence certificates tends to take some time (depending on the countries u lived for more than 6 months since u were 16 years old). Also make sure u got your vaccination records at hand for the medical examination. Most importantly your education & birth certificates.....etc...

Sorry i thought the case number he quoted was 2008AF13XXX. With case nuber 2008AF000013XX he should expect his interview in october like u rightly said.

hi there i heard that the notification process for dv2OO8 started early is that true? i have bought a 1o$ book about immigration to the USA ,but it really doesn't provide useful in formation .I can share with anyone.
By the way ,I m a student and i have participated in the dv lottery 2OO8 what document should i show to the consular agent during the interview of course if i won in the dv lottery as a proof of financial support??
is it wise to get a bank statement showing a great sum of money in my account ? or to show documents that show that my father has enough fund to support me while in the US or to ask a firend in the us to make an affidavit of support for me?
My aim behind immigrating to the us is to pursue my studies and to live there for once. all what bothers me now is the proof of finacial support .
it is the first time i enter the lottery and have no idea about the sellection process or what should i do to work my unique chance to move to the us
 
NL 2008EU00011xx received on March 21st

I am now debating in between AOS and CP options.

For consular processing can anybody please tell me if they schedule interviews any sooner than October 2007? Do they start visa interviews earlier in the summer? Thanks for your input.

Hello

NL letters was already received in MARCH? Have you received this NL in South Africa..I am also from Africa. Does it mean that the process of sending NL will end earlier this year comparing to previous DV?

Do not think that you need to put "A" number there, just have your old visa with you at the interview.

Please could someone tell me if sending your papers back to the KCC quickly or after a couple of weeks makes any difference?
