I did not have any info about whether the case was transferred. I was in EB3, non-RIR. Maybe I can tell when I receive the actual approval letter to see where it was sent from.

When can I expect the I-140 approval? Any insight would be helpful.

Cannot apply I-1485 because of retrogression (India).

The current date for I-485 for people born in India is March 2001. That means that I canot apply untill the date becomes after my PD is May 12 2004. They will not process my application. My company has filed only I140 with VSC. The RD for I140 is Mar 8th 2006.

Job transfer after I-485 applied

Does anyone know for EB-2, I-140 approved, I-485 just sent in, what happens if job is changed. Thanks. ..JP
 
Most likely you will get a RFE on I-485. You cannot invoke AC21 if yourt I-485 is not pending for more than 180 days. I am not an attorney and I suggest you seek advice from an attorney.

Thanks 2006gc. But what is AC21? And I thought I-485 processing does not take 180 days, does it? I see several in this forum getting cleared faster. I am EB-2.

Hi all, I have been, more or less, silent reader on this forum. My I-140 ND is January 20th, 2006. I'm hoping it'll get approved within the next month or so. In the meantime, I'm from a retrogressed country, but my PD is in 2001. In case my date becomes available soon, my question is this:

What are the pro's and con's of I-485 consular processing vs. regular (within US)? In other words, in case my date becomes available tomorrow, wouldn't it make more sense for me to apply in my home country for I-485? I don't see many people talk about it in the forum, and any views are more than welcome. Thanks a million.

VSC to TSC (I140 RD 3/8/06)

JDK: I am in the same boat as you. My RD is 3/8/06 and I rec'd five emails today that it has been transferred from VSC to TSC. LUD 3/23/06 and 5/5/06.

On a brighter side, TSC processing is faster than VSC.

has everything. Click where it asks you to click on,

" If you would like to see the Processing Dates for Applications and Petitions, click here.

You can then select service center and find how they are doing for each category. I hope that helps. ....Jaspal
 
RFE on I-485

I would like to know experience of those who were RFE'd (Request For Evidence) on their I-485. I am curious to know what kind of RFE they ask, and/or is it rare, common, or very common. My I-485 is awaiting due to retrogression (India), but I am trying to understand the process in the meantime. Thanks.
 
i140 cleared

applied jan 06 1st week. approved may 8th. EB3 - cannot apply for ead due to retrogression

If you know that your case moved to NSC (new number starting with LIN), please post your information data and approvals info on NSC consolidated tracker here:

There is a very nice and well organized Excell spreadsheet in it which is being updated at least 2 times in a week. It can help everybody to understand where NSC approval queue is.
