My case as well as my wife case have been approved on 05/17/2004.

Congratulations.That was pretty quick approval.Do you know what triggered the RFE..? any address/job change etc?

What was the RFE about? I appreciate your answers for these q.

Hi,

My finger printing was done on 02/24/2004 and this might have triggerred RFE on 04/02/ (guess). RFE is about Permenant conditions of employment and affidavits for date of birth.

Can you please also post details about your I-140? Just wondering whether both got approved together, or was I-140 approved earlier.

pamid123, which country's passport do you have. You seem to extraordinary lucky with both 140 and 485.

Congrats! .

It looks like CIS was taking more than 6 months to approve your EAD unlike 2-3 months for others. I think they made your background (name) check before EAD approval, and so they didn't wait longer after your 1st FP. If this is true, I also get my approval within one month.
 
They approved my I-140 after 5 months and within a day or two after I had my EAD approved. EAD took longer than 3 months but I was able to get an intrim EAD from local INS in Norfolk VA
 
No hard feeling My congrates for approval. Hey USCIs what wrong we have done in having RD of Sept. 2002. Simply we wer not aware of your fine tuning of your own department because we dont know when you are going to change your regulations???
