Sicker,

Sorry to hear about your case. Hope you get to hear something good soon!

So, what's the bottom line???

Guys,

I am reading the posts. There are a variety of opinions which are sort of screwing with my head. One post in optimistic, another one is pessimistic. Then another one has some math, which adds a little more sense to this whole madness. :p

Wondering when would I get my GC if my notice date is ND 10/2004?

That is exactly what is going on. Each officer gets certain number of cases to work on. If he/she finishes whatever work needs to be done then they just go ahead and get another set of cases from the pool. They do not wait for lazy applicants to send back docs. This is what my attorney said on Friday. And this is why we are getting approvals from ND 2001 while still some ND 2000 are not approved. For example a friend of mine got RFE (ND Jan 2001) 4 weeks ago, and still did not finish medical. I got mine done in a day.

samird,

Most applications are NOT lazy and return their documents in a timely fashion. Just so you know, most cases are pending approval due to an incomplete background check and security clearance.

Hi

I guess the way to judge (about lazines) might be based on the peole one know. In the circle of people I know, they may not be lazy but it takes them weeks before they respond to such requests. That is how I made my 'conlusion'. Well I maybe have chosen the wrong word though... ;)

So your status is also "FP pending review"?
I just called FBI, they told me that they sent the FP result to INS on the same day when I took it. And INS is still review it???

porkman,

that is their standard message. I had it online for about a year and then got RFI. Maybe we can guess when you will receive RFI or BIO ... I would say by the end of september at the latest.

Porkman please share some info withus

Porman,

please tell us what COUNTRYyou are from.
i am stilll trying to figure out if there is any order to the madness in the way USCIS is processing our applications.

question for porkman

porkman,

please tell us what COUNTRY you received your asylum from.
This may help us make some sense into the madness in the way that USCIS processes these applications. thanks a bunch.

You should disregard if your online status is FP pending review. Lots of time Immigration officers are lazy to update the case status. IF FBI sent it, USCIS has it. Thats it. My sister who got approved last year(ND 1998) didnt get her status updated when she did fingerprinting but she got an approval.

Also remember all of the members on this board didn't get an update online status when they got BIO..for most of them, it still says "Your response to RFI was received" ...

So do not panic. This is just inconsistency of the USCIS..

One_of_You,

Are you by any chance on the east coast? Perhaps the DC area? It appears we both have the same RD, ND and FP. But the status in my case states "On August 9, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case...."

Well, if its any comfort, eventhough they apparently received the FP review, nothing much has happened in the way of progress in my case since. Hope we'll all hear something positive soon. Hang in there!

FebAsylee

febasylee,

what a coincidence! also iwas granted asylum on feb but 2000.
i'm in texas, not in the east coast. however, when i first applied for asylum it was in new york, then after that i moved to texas where i followed up with the application.
i think the statement on the fp doesn't realy matter, in my opinio if it's pending fbi review or the processing has resumed on your case..., as long as the fbi can confirm having sent them( fp results) to uscis. wantmygcnow gave us a good info about a member of his family with whom the status sayst says pending review,,and now she got approved. so what the hell !. keep the good faith
good luck everyone.
