20 years vaid passpot issue- for visitors visa interview

undefinedmy moms passport is valid for 20 years. I read about 20 year valid passport on this particular link http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...how/1079624.cms
With this new rule, does she has to go to passport office to get it changed to 10 years before she attends visa interview???? interview is on April 22th. I don't know if she could get the passport back by then.....

Please advice. anyone who is under same situation please answer too.

no need to change passport

There is no need to convert to 10 yr passport.

US accepts indian 20 yr passport - i have one. I have multiple stamps from both bombay and delih embassy and no-one ever saked a question.
