Hello Everybody!! Have couple of questions. Would appreciate if someone can post some answers or advice if possible.
Have applied for I-140 &485 (concurrently) receipt date was 9/15/2003

Q1. When should I expect my EAD ? (if no RFE's)
Q2. When can I change my employer ?

Texas service center is currently processing I-765 received on or about 8/31/2003. You should receive your EAD between December and January. You cannot leave your employer until your I-485 has been pending for 180 days. I wouldn't leave without the I-140 being approved under no circumstances.

It takes about 30 to 60 days after filing for EAD in between they can send a Query

It takes about 30 to 60 days after filing for EAD in between they can send a Query I feel they just buy some more time by doing so.

If they send a query some times about your name verification or different last name used when got married then if you send the answer to the query it takes 15 days extra to get EAD approved and after that with in 2 to 3 weeks you will get EAD in mail .
right after Receiving EAD with in a week your Advance Parole will be approved. That's what happened in my case:)
 
It takes usually 90-120 days to get EAD. If you want to get EAD faster (to save H1 time), after 90 day go to your local INS center and get an interim EAD.
