Hi

Current Status:

On January 29, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. Just wondering 1). what my next things are that i should be ready with and 2). approx how many days i could expect an interview call?

Please let me know if you have an idea. It will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Sai.

Probably this is wrong forum for this question, but anyway...

INS (CIS) needs more information (request for further evidence -RFE) with reference to your I-140. You will receive a notice from them shortly that will describe what documents you need to submit. After you submit those documents they will review the evidence and make some decision on your I-140.

Interview is scheduled only after I-140 approval and the online status message that you saw has nothing to do with interview.

Best wishes,

Jigesh

Sailu:

I totally concur with jigesh and would like to add a couple of points:

1. The correct thread for this question is I-140 which is
http://boards.immigrationportal.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=14

2. USCIS has issued an RFE. Once you have replied ot that RFE with additional information as requested by USCIS, if USCIS is happy with the provided information your I-140 will be approved within 4-6 weeks from that time.

3. After I-140 approval, it will take another 6-8 months to get your CP interview. So from now you are roughly looking at a timeframe of about 8-10 months to get your CP interview.
