I have a question about multiple new H1Bs. I am currently working in University A using my OPT and OPT will expire after 03/31/05. A has applied H1B for me and it is approved and will be effective from 04/01/05.
Meanwhile, I've decided to join in University B and B has applied a new H1B for me too. However, we are not sure when B's H1 will be approved.
My question is, suppose B's H1 is not approved until may 2005, and I start to work in A using my H1B in April 2005, then can I move on to B in May after B's new H1 is approved? Or should I file a H1 transfer from A to B? What is my best practise? I checked with my international offices, but they seem to be quite confused about it too.
