2 nd Finger printing

Dear Gurus's
Need your help, there is a conflicting information regarding second finger printing ( mostly DEc 2001 Filler)
We know finger prints expire 15 months from the date of first fingerprints
Does this mean the INS officer should have taken up the I485 case, before 15 months, what happens if INS officer issues a RFE , and by the time it is replied if 15 months pass. do the first finger prints expire and a second fingerprintis required. Please advice.
 
Again this is what I think

If the RFE was issued (that means your case was assigned to an officer) before 15 months, then 2nd FP notice shouldn't trigger.

Based on the different post, I have come to believe that. My thinking might be way off mark as to how the process actually works.
 
Yeah, I guess if you got RFE, then you won't get second FP. It must be in staging area(before assign to officier) they discover you FP expire.
 
dengdeng, do you mean if RFE is issued before 15 months and and by the time RFE is replied after 15 months, means go for seconf finger printing. Share your thoughts
