Hello,
I have an upcoming interview. Not too excited about it because I am pretty sure I'll fall into the name check pending loophole. But just wanna be prepared
Anyways I have two questions for poeple who had interviews or are aware of such cases.
My case....applied for I-130/I-485 end of March. Married to USC.
Interview 1st week of Spetember, 05.
Completed FP.
Received my EAD in 67 days.

1) I have had medical sent withthe initial I-130/I-485. No RFE for medical. However I do not have any immunization records with me. When I went for the medical they had asked me if I had them to which I answered yes. I actually had them already but cannot provide any necessary documents showing that I had vaccination ( which was I guess about 15-20 years ago)
So what do I do. Do I go and take the shots again...I don't even know what shots to take, or whether I can take them again, or anything related to this. The reason I am asking this is because on the interview notice they ask fo youto take your medical / vaccination record. I guess since I have alreadysubmitted the medical (i.I-693) I do not have to take it again. But as far as vaccination iinfo is required i have no clue what to do.So any info will be appreciated.

2)I did not have enough incoem to sponsor myself. Since I was a full time student and had no job. therefore My wife's uncle had sponsored us. We had send all the related I-864 documetns showing that he is sponsoring us. What documents should I take with me to the interview as I have already submitted everything with the application.
(ps:I guess after receiving the EAD I have had a job for a month enough to meet the income requirements. So I'll be taking the two paystubs. My wife also started working so we are well above the income requirement. )
The other major problem is I have not filed my taxes the year before this, as my income was zero (which is not an excuse). But nothing to do about it I guess at this point.

So the basic question is :
:any documents you might think of that I shoud take with me for the sponsorship beside copy f the documents I have submitted.

All info will be appreciated.
( on a side note: Also for the many thanks that I received for creating the EAD thread, i just want to mention that it was a pleasure in being able to help everyone and hearing from you all)

Hi zoomz00m,

It is always advisable to keep your vaccination record up-to-date. When the civil surgeon fills your I-693 and if your vaccination sheet is not up-to-date, he/she would check this box under Immunization Determination: Applicant is not current for recommended age-specific immunizations and I have encouraged that appropriate immunizations be obtained.
And if during interview, the officer happens to bring this up, he might ask you for your vaccination sheet to check if you got your shots. So, once you take your shots, the doctor would provide you the vaccination record (I-693-Supplement) which you keep for your records and for the interview.

As for the sponsorship, you need copies of tax returns, proof of employment, evidence of income wherever applicable.

Dont forget to take documents that show proof of joint financial responsibility and joint ownership of assets.

Good Luck with your interview.

hey Vaccination supplement is must w/I-693. I don't know how your doc(whoever did you med), let you go without it, unless you say that you will file for individual waiver, based on moral/religious ground. If you refuse to take the shot & don't provide them vaccination supplement, they may deny the AOS based on medical grounds.

don't confuse the reading on the interview letter, mine say to take the medical form only if I didn't sent one with the original application, if you did sent one that means thth your inmunizations, checky and see a box where it says that the applicant have all the right vaccs for his age and if is checked the you don't need to prove anything in the interview, not everybody need the same vaccines depends on your age, my parents had no records but the dr said they didn't need anymore just the flu or something and he let it go.

as for your sponsor take their taxes, if she can go with you to interview is better if not let her know to be available at a phone call in case they want to talk to her in the phone.

they have the co-sponsor possibilty for cases like you, the important thing is the sponsor and joint sponsor meet the criteria, you will bw fine if they do

good luck

Thanks to all very much for your replies. I forgot that I had the copy that the doctor gave me. On it " all immunization are current are checked". I recall that the nurse had asked me when I had the shots and had put down those date on the attached sheet, but I don't have the actual evidentiary records of the vaccination. I guess I'l have to live with that.

:---To anamaria, I did not understand what you meant by the joint sponsor ? I have only one person sponsoring me....so could you clarify a bit more.

:---Also does it matter that I have not filled my taxes for 2003. ( I filled my taxes jointly for 2004 with my wife)
Thank you.

I think the joint sponsor is just the term they use is fine that is not you or your spouse it has to be sombody that makes above 125% poverty line for their household, I'm sure you already know all that info from when you filed affidavit, anyway, your uncle is the one that is making himself responsible for you, in other words , they want somebody to responde in case you need or take money from the goverment and then live they would ask your uncle o pay for it, is just a guarantee that people don't just try to become resident to seek assistance and be a burden for the country, if he has all his taxes filed correctly it will be fine, like I said make him avalable to you the day of the interview

please help me with your experience with your green card interview.I have mine coming up soon.MY wife & i want to know what they are asking for, documentations, questions & possibly answers.from both the interviewer & the interviewee.thanks

Thank your for all your responses.
I guess all your answers pretty much answered my questions and cleared the the confusions that I had.
Will keep you updated about what happens on the interview.
