2 "I-797C" notice of action

Hello everyone,

Date 07/17/06:

USCIS sent back 2 "I-797C" notice of action. (rejection notices)

1st notice: fee for I-485 was wrong even though the instruction said $315.00. It is actually $325.00.

2nd notice: fee for I-765 was correct. Don't know why they sent a Notice Of Action for that. ($180.00)

I will correct the I-485 fee tomorrow.

I'd very concerned about the I-765 "notice of action". Why would they send it back if the amout was correct? (money order payable to Department of Homeland Security). :confused:

I don't know how old your instructuion is, but according to the official site http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm, the fee for I-485 is $325.00

Furthermore, at least one of your applications needs an additional $70 fee for the biometrics.

Your I-765 was most likely rejected because it's based on your I-485 which was rejected ... there's a chain of reaction at work

"Fee: $325 plus $70 biometrics services fee"

Your 765 was denied Possibly due to the fact that your I-485 was rejected as they should filed together.

If you downloaded your forms from the USCIS web page & READ the instructions you would have all the information available to you, read the instructions on the I-485 page before opening the I-485 attachment.

My mistake was thinking the USCIS keeps everything updated.
On the I-485 forums instructions it stated "$315".
On the website is says $325.

I'll clean up this mess today and quickly warp the forums back to Chiciago.

Be sure to send a copy of your I-797 notices of action, as well as a copy of your picture ID, Put the check/ Money order for $395.00 in the same package & be sure to write the receipt number of your I-485 on the check.

Make copies (to keep for your records) of all your I-797's Notices of Action & the Check before sending !

Mail them FedEx or Priority Mail return receipt so you have accurate record.
