I got a Biometrics appointment for April 5th a couple of weeks ago and last week I got another one for April 6th. Is one of them for the EAD and the other one for the GC? What is the difference? Can I have both of them done on the 5th? I have an exam on the 5th and after talking to my professor I was able to change it to the 6th...Now I have a big problem here. I was thinking that if I take both notices with me on the 5th I can have them both done at the same time. Is this possible?

yeah there are two different appointments one is code 2 for EAD and Other one is Code 3 for 485-AOS.
Yeah there is very much possibility that you can do both at the same time, Tell them at the time of first appointment that you have second one also due next day. probably they can do it at the same time.

OK I just checked, they do have different codes. The interesting thing is that I received the Code 3 one for April 5th and the Code 2 one for April 6th, meaning that, going by what ell_emm said, I got the appt for the GC before the one for the EAD, I thought they were supposed to be the other way around.

Can anyone with the Hartford DO tell me how long is the wait for the FP appts? I know they are scheduled and all but I don't know if they go exactly by those times or if there is usually a delay involved. I just want to see if I can make it to an exam after the appt.

I figured I would update this after my appt.
My appt was at 1pm but I got there at 12 and then had to walk many blocks back to my car to leave my backpack filled with magazines that I brought in case I had to wait there for hours. Backpacks or packages weren't allowed in the office. The officer at the door asked me for the forms and he said that they can get both FP done right away, then he asked for my passport and my marriage certificate...I was dumb enough to not realize that my name had changed. Thank God I had my license with my married name.
Since they took the FP for both (EAD and GC) I'm not sure which ones are for what. They first took some by only pressing my finger in the scanner, then picture then rolling my fingers. The lady there was complaining that I wasn't letting my hand go so she could roll it, even though I wasn't. She even pointed out this CVS cast that she has to wear because the pain that she suffers from rolling people's fingers all day.
Then I decided to roll the fingers myself and everything went better, till the very end with my little right finger, it kept giving her some kind of error and then she called this 'manager lady' and she checked it, she enlarged it and showed us some cracks, then she said 'Oh well, what can you do' and she just pressed OK. I really hope this doesn't delay my application.
The whole thing lasted for 30 min max (and 10 of those min was looking for my license that the FP lady missplaced)
