Hi everybody, I knew Ihave post a few question on this forum already. I got my answer buy I am still not sure about my condition. I would like to discribe my condition again to see if any body have any idea which is the best way I should do.

I came to the US since 2001 as an internation student (F1) I have applied for the asylum in the same year. One year later, my parents came to the US as any immigrant ( my uncle sponsor my dad). After my dad got his green card, he filed the petition for me on Nov 02.

In 2004, my asylum has been approved. and I have applied for my GC a year later. Now I still don't received my GC yet and my dad petition is come closer. Do you guy think I should applied another form I-485 through my dad petition, or should I just wait for my I-485 throuhg my asylum?

In the mean, time I don't want to get married because if I get married the pettion from my dad is void. Becasue he has filed for unmarried son.

Will it have the problem since I have filed my I-485 (through asylum) and also I-130 (the petition from my dad)?

Please give me any advice or somebody have thesame experience.....

Thank you

You should follow up on your asylum I-485 since you have already applied. Plus with asylum I-485, your GC will be backdated 1 year. Do an Infopass to find out what is your status...

Thank Want and Thankful, for your reply. I have contact the INS so many time. I called, make an infor pass to see them a few times I still don't get any progress. Now I already contact my Senator and I've just got the letter back saying the this inquiries will take 4 to 6 weeks. I will wait and see if I got anything back from INS. I will let you guy know.

By the way, if I got married now, will it affect my status or getting GC? I know it will void my dad petition but I don't if it affects my GC?

You can get married its ok..you are an asylee so you will get your GC through that route. It should not affect your GC. You may need to update the biographic info for the I-485 but that is requested to you by the USCIS during your GC adjustment.

will the INS ask anything about my spouse? If she is an F1 (out of status). and will she get any immigration benefit through me?
