2 A numbers I140 and I-485

HI

I have an A number on my EB1OR I-140 receipt (May 2006) and another a different A number for the I-485 which was sent later (Sep 06) when the date for EB1 date was current.

Is this a problem? If so, what can be done?

Please advise

Yes it can create problems at later stage. Go to the Local office and ask them consolidate it. Inform your attorney also.

i have also 2 A numbers because I applied the i140 and I485 at diffferent times. why it creates problems? and what do u mean at later stage?

Hi,

very quick check. did you file 485 for your spouse? If so check your spouse A# and your A#. Your spouse A# might talley with one of your A# (it happened to me). My problem is yet to be solved :) Loooong live USCIS.

Ok, this is what it is....

I have one only A number which appears on my 485 receipt.

HOWEVER,

my wife has one A number on her 485 receipt and another A number on her 765 (work authorization). Is this a problem??

I-140 receipt does not have a A number (i was wrong about that). My A number and my wife's A numbers dont match.
 
I am also in the same situation. I filed two sets of I-140 and I-485, One was pending because of denial and I did not get any reply and filed second one and they received and after one day of the receipt of the second set I got approval for the first set. But my EAC # is different but A # is same for all of us my husband, myself and my son. And after 4 months I got also approval for my second I-140. I am little relaxed because A # is same for both the filings. (May be I am wrong). But I have received finger prints for my second filing. I am going to do as soon as possible. MY finger prints for the first set is expired and there was a lud and on 12//16 and I got a letter dated 12/18 with the finger prints request. I am going to do it.

anybody please comment.

What does this A number stands for?
I just verified my 140 receipts (from different employers) only one receipt got A number :(

-------------she should have SAME A# on EAD as on her I-485 reciept, when file second EAD renewal write that A# on her form that is on her I-485 reciept and she should write a note that by mistake USCIS wrote her wrong A# on past EAD.(she can attach the copy of her old EAD and circle the A# on that)

I am working with the same employer, and filed both sets for the employer. It's Code 1. What is it?
