I\' am a software professional and I have a question on the 180-day rule. It’s now more than 180 days since I applied for my I485. Now if I want to change the employer then I would like to understand the meaning of “finding a similar job”.
Does working in the computer field with the new employer satisfy the similar job rule or should everything match completely including the technologies and software tools I worked on when I first applied for my GC. Because I am planning to change into a different technology if I change my employer.
How risky is it to change employers in the first instance even though INS says that we can change after 180 days?
