140 with RD 10/20/03 updated 06/01/04

My 140 (no REF - EAC0403*) was updated on 06/01/2004 (VSC) but the status is not changed, it still shows:

Your I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER was received on October 20, 2003. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 90 and 485 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

My 140 has been updated once before on 11/14/2003 which is one day after the RD of my I485, and my I485 was updated on 11/18/2003 - 5 days after the RD of 485. All of these updates made no changes to my status, and I receive no email from them.

Anybody has any idea what does this mean?
 
Maybe something maybe nothing

The last updated date is normally updated on an address change etc. but as in my case the last update date for 140 was 05/17/04 and am still waiting. However a friend whose last update date was 05/04/04 had an RFE issued on 05/11/04. In this forum are people whose last update changed months as if there would be action but nothing happened. So I guess its all luck.

My I140 showed last update date as 04/09/04 and the message was same old. But on 05/06/04 they issued an RFE on my case. So, the dates are not definite. Keep your fingers crossed and wait for the change.
 
Looks like first time update date is changed - it is that file is pulled out of shelf and allocated. Second time something concrete happens - just speculation.
 
I won't surprise if processing date changes to Oct 20 or later...

My experience is with h1 and EAD is... they issued RFE after last updated date changed... 10 Days in case of EAD with no change in online status message and 14 days in case of H1 with change in online message.

you never know.. or it is just that your case has been approved.

mine is ND sep 26 2003, right from the beg LUD was 09/29/2003, then it changed to 05/25/2004, nothing after that, i checked 10 cases after and before mine, all of them have LUD of 09/29/2003, donno why they changed it on mine.

my guess is that it shows an activity in the computer system on this case, not even the real processing on the case.
