140 approved, what are my options?

I have my EAD and 140 approved, and has been >180 days since 485 was filed. My wife works on EAD obtained through my filing. I have the following questions:

1. If I decide to quit today or am laid off, how long do I have before I find another job of similar skills to remain in status using AC21?
2. Can I quit and stay in the US at least till the EAD comes up for renewal?
3. If I quit, then can my wife continue to work till her EAD comes up for renewal?
4. If we decide to wind up and go back to our country, if we quit our jobs today, how long do we have to wind up our commitments here (sell house, car, etc.) and leave (our EAD is valid for next 6 months)?

Thanks for your help.

-----if I-140 approved and I-485 pending more than 180 days you are eligible to change employer and can use AC21 if you find Same /similar job
1. If I decide to quit today or am laid off, how long do I have before I find another job of similar skills to remain in status using AC21?
----- you will be in AOS status after I-485 is filed, better try to get job in 2-3 months becase you need to be working to use AC21
2. Can I quit and stay in the US at least till the EAD comes up for renewal?
--- EAD has nothing to do for your stay in US it is pending I-485
3. If I quit, then can my wife continue to work till her EAD comes up for renewal?
--- she can work on EAD and YOU both should renew your EAD 6 month advance
4. If we decide to wind up and go back to our country, if we quit our jobs today, how long do we have to wind up our commitments here (sell house, car, etc.) and leave (our EAD is valid for next 6 months)?
----- you can go any day, EAD has nothing to do with your Stay in US
Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Ginnu. Summarizing what I understand from your feedback:

If I wish to find another job using AC 21, I should try to get a job within 2-3 months or so of quitting/losing current job. My wife can continue to work on her EAD till it comes up for renewal, even if I quit/lose my job in the meantime, as long as 485 is pending.

If we decide to wind up and leave, foregoing the green card, then we can stay here with or without job as long as I have a 485 pending status (if we don't renew the EAD, then both of us will have to stop working once the EAD expires).

Is that an accurate summary?

Thanks,
-C

My wife can continue to work on her EAD till it comes up for renewal,
---- yes AND she shoulf file EAD renewal 5-6 months advance from the date when her EAD is going to expire
even if I quit/lose my job in the meantime, as long as 485 is pending.
