140 approved, 6+ months in 485, no ead/ap - can i use ac21?

Hi, I am on h1 with current employer, who filed for labor, 140 and 485.
want to leave for another job with same description of duties. but i dont have ead or ap. can i switch?
do i need to file for another h1? do i need to get an ead before switching jobs?

If you want to use AC21 you need to have Valid EAD....
Transfer of H1 no way deals or concerns with AC21....

u can get interim EAD after 90 days of applying I-485 if you haven't received EAD yet.

hmm thank you everyone . curious about one point though

the ac21 attachment i have seen on some posts does not say you need a h1 or an ead for ac21. (it does not say you do not need one either)
so i was assuming i dont need to worry about that.
i have not applied for ead so far becoz company lawyer never informed he they had not . ( my mistake not to have asked )
so what does one make of the ac21 attachment letter i have seen elsewhere on the forum?

also can i go ahead and apply for interim ead now - even though i applied for first ead this ween?
interim ead i believe will allow me to use ac21. is interim ead applicable if no ead was applied, and 485 is pending for > 90 days?
