140/485 Job Portability Provisions

Hi there--

I recently filed my 140/485 petition together. How do the
job portability provisions work in this case? Prior to joint filing,
one could move jobs for a 485 petition pending for more than
180 days? With joint filing, is it still valid with or without the
140 APPROVAL or is it that 140 has to be approved for one
to move jobs? The reason for this being that 140 is pretty badly
backed up and it could take a long while for the its approval.

Yes my friend - you can detach your employer after 6 months with a portability letter to the new employer.
 
I-140 approved AND I-485 pending more than 180 days. Then only you can use AC 21 and have to fulfill the other criteria of AC21
