Hi,

Anyone with experience of using AC21 when 485 is applied for 180 days and 140 is not yet approved?

No can do! AC21 comes into force only AFTER 140 approval! Besides it is damn dangerous. Your ex-employer can easily withdraw the petition, since technically the 140 belongs to them and NOT you.

Depends on the agreement you have with the sponsoring employer. If your current employer agrees to support your 140 by replying to all the RFEs and gives you a letter saying the they intend to hire you in the future, you would be out of trouble.
