140 & 485 approved

Hi friends,

I am very pleased to inform that our 140 and 485 (mine and my wife) are approved today. I wanted to share this information with you in this forum. This forum has been really helpful for me to get the latest news about the Texas Service center about what is going on with 140 and 485 cases.


Here are my case details:
140 RD date : oct 2, 2003 and ND oct 3, 2003: Approved On: Oct 11, 2004
485 RD date : oct 2, 2003 and ND oct 3, 2003: Approved On :Oct 11, 2004

FP done in December 2003.

1 EAD approved in last December. Applied for renewal two weeks back. Got the receipts.
1 AP approved in last January. Applied for renewal two weeks back. Have not received the receipts yet.

That is interesting. I got e-mails today. I just checked again. 140 and 485 cases are updated today and they are approved.

May be it is working day today. I will go and check texes service center holidays list.

I could not find USCIS holidays list.

If any one knows about the link, where I can find holidays list please let me know.

Could you check your mail again, are you sure your case got approved today?

Today is holiday it seems.

My case is EB2 category.

We did finger printing on December 19, 2003 (99% sure). I forgot the date.

I checked my mails and checked online status as well. Our cases are approved.

My theory is:
It looks like these cases might have been approved few (3 or 4) days back. Online status is updated today. I honestly donot know how that works but I got emails today and online status is updated today. May be they run some batch file to update the online status, I donot know.

If you look at recent approvals at www.immigrationwatch.com, you will notice there will be some cases approved on each day including saturedays and sundays.

Hope for the best. I need to wait until I get my approval papers in hand.

did u go early for fp then what was stated on ur fp notice? My rd is Oct 1st 2003 and my fp was scheduled in Jan end. I wonder how u were able to do fp earlier than me with rd later than me....

Actually, I also did FP in Dec 16 2003..

Best Part the LUD given in USCIS after doing the FP is
01/15/2004.
So still waiting.....

ONe of my friend in Memphis -- 140 and 485 -- Oct 15 2003 --Did FP on the same Day with me ..
Got his 140 cleared on Aug 24 2003 and got Medicals Query on his 485 appln.
Asking him to resubmit medicals..

Still waiting.

what was the schedule window of dates provided on your FP notice? Did u happen to go earlier than what was mentioned in the notice?
