13 months after the RFE, I am still waiting

I am still waiting after responding RFE to BCIS 13 months ago. The reason as said is they are doing security check on me, no deadline. I don't know how long I should wait, as if I dropped into a black hole. What should I do? I contacted the congressman and senator, but no one can help because of the Security reason as if I am a criminal. Who is in same boat?
Please give me some advice.

Try calling Customer Service number

Keep Calling at 949 389 3007 (customer service number) if your case belongs to CSC. You might get some help there.

Go to USCIS website and find the fax numbers for level 1,2,3 enquiry. Good luck!
