10 year GC question

hi all, great forum!
I got a question. I am a GC holder ,a 10 year one that I've received through marriage to a US citizen. We've been divorced for 2 years now. If I marry a non US citizen will she receive a GC?

You have to wait 5 years after you obtained your own GC through marriage before you can file for a GC for another spouse. And if you don't become a citizen, there is a waiting period of a few years after you file.

Your case will be viewed with heightened suspicion if it appears that you probably knew the noncitizen spouse before obtaining your GC, and you will be doomed if you actually had a pre-GC relationship with the new spouse.

I met the non citizen around 4 months ago.. so I should wait to become a citizen and only then to file?

You have to wait 5 years after your GC was approved before you can file for the new spouse. You would also become eligible for citizenship at the same 5 year mark (assuming other conditions such as good moral character etc. have also been satisfied).
