10 ways to reduce the GC anxiety and frustrations (not necessarily in the same order)
I am also in the same boat as you are. It worked for me. I hope it works for you too.
1) Walk 1 mile everyday.
2) Remind yourself, there is absolutely no calamity in life except illness and death of your near and dear. All the rest you could tackle.
3) Do one (selfless) good deed every week. Difficult, but try to make it as selfless as possible.
4) Do not watch TV while eating lunch or dinner. Prefer to have it at the dining table with your family or friends.
5) Make a well judged guesstimate of your approval date and then firmly believe that you'd be approved by that date. (Of course this only applies for the souls whose 600 days of wait is not over yet.
6) When the frustration gets way out of hand, do not sit in the house and frustrate your near and dear. Go to step 1.
7) In Lord's work sheet (may not be MS Excel) the sum total is always zero. To put this in plain English, do not get the feeling that you are being left out and you could never catch up. As an analogy compare life with the freeway. Some cars are flashy, some are fast, some reach their destination some do not , some cars with whom you wanted to race take an exit and leave that freeway altogether... etc. etc.
8) Premise number one: Life isn't fair, and then begins everything else.
9) Dream on, try to fulfill all of them, but don't expect everyone of those dream to fulfill.
10) Last but not the least, (and with no offense meant towards your respected parents) always remember that you are a winner right from the beginning. Champion, never forget, that it was YOU who made through competing with all those millions, right from the beginning.
You did come a long way and by golly will surely go a long way.
