1 year h1b extension based on approved labour

- I am already on 7 th year extension, my 7th year h1 will expire 9/1/2007

- Got 2 approved labour,from prev. company, EB3 filed 8/2004 , approved 8/2006 and by current company(EB3 PERM),filed 6/1/2006 and approved 9/5/2006

My question is, can i just file one-year h1b extension based on current company labour approval ???

I know with I-140 approval i could get 3 years extension but i am worried if the case get get denied,then there's no choice other than leaving the country.Basically i want to be conservative.

You are eligible to 8th year based on current employer's LC, however, I donot think you can file extension now because new start date on extension must be within 6 months.
