1) H1B Approved but still on OPT-STEM 2) want to change employer

Hello,

I am currently working on OPT extension (STEM), which expires in October, 2013. My H1B visa application also got approved in April 2012. I am confused whether I should go ahead and get H1B stamped now on my next India visit or I should wait until my OPT expires. What are pros and cons?
More importantly, how does it work if I am going to change employers in January 2013? Will the new employer prefer me on OPT or H1B?
Could you please guide me on this? I am highly confused.

Clarification

My status is still F1. The H1B is approved but not stamped yet. If I go to work for a new employer, can it just get a H1 transfer for me? Please reply.
