Received te following mail today:
we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 30 days have passed and you have not received the notice. Please contact the service center where you submitted your application during business hours.

Can anyone shed some light as to what it could be? I have applied for my mother's extrension and is bit worried.

was this and email you received, if yes then wait for the note in the mail for 7-8 days and contact the uscis in case you dont get it.

the note in the snail mail should give you details about more information that you need to provide wait for it.
 
This is the RFE have received

RFE:1
1. Please provide current bank statements showing deposits and withdrawals to prove your abili to fincanciall support yourself throughtout the dureation of your stay. If your finances come from a foreign country,a letter from the bank showing sufficient funds. if you have a sponsor have your sponsor submit 3 bank statements showin withdrawals in US dollars.

Question: 1.Have anyone received aove query?
2. I have submitted the above information and VOD( verification of deposites). However, I am not sure if they cared to go thru the papers. Anyways I will submit again. If I ( sponsor of my mother's visa) submit statements for the last three months that should be sufficient. Right?

Please provide a non-refunable transportation ticket that identifies your new departure date or travel agency/internet itineary showing new departure date. "Open tickets are not accepatble".

If I submit all the above information, is there anything they would ask besides the above. Since RFE was issued, is it likely the case may get declined? please let me know
 
unfortunately no one can predict what will happen.

But do send the docs as requested. Maybe they lost some docs or just want to see latest statements. Ypu might have sent deatils of CD's etc but may have neglected some account.

As for rejection, I would say that if they wanted to reject it they would have done so already not sent you an RFE
