1-485: Strange Status update on website

Hello All,

I have seen a new status update on my pending I-485 case on the BCIS website or phone system as the following message:

On July 9, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

Could you tell me what it is about ? ( I have never seen any message like that before).

I don’t think there is anything to worry about with this message. It’s just saying that BCIS received your fingerprinting result. In my case BCIS case status never said whether they received my fingerprinting, even though I was fingerprinted twice, much less saying that the results of those printing were in. Case status is being updated at random and this message is part of that random process.
