1-485 processing date in VSC

I have a question to ask.
I just saw online that VSC has updated their processing dates . I saw 1-485 processing date is July 22nd 2004 . What does this date mean? Is it mean they have already processed the cases until July 22nd 2004 OR they will process the cases upto July 22nd 2004 now. Please help me understand this .I appreciate your cooperation.

They are processing cases with I-485 ND of on or before July 22, 2004.Now-a-days we can see some cases with dates as far as Nov and Dec but very few who are very very lucky.
