I have a question to ask.
I just saw online that VSC has updated their processing dates . I saw 1-485 processing date is July 22nd 2004 . What does this date mean? Is it mean they have already processed the cases until July 22nd 2004 OR they will process the cases upto July 22nd 2004 now. Please help me understand this .I appreciate your cooperation.
Thanks
Wendy

On the USCIS website, where you read this info, on top of that page, read the section
"How do I use this chart?"
"Locate the type of application or petition you filed under the heading “Form” or “Form Name”. Follow the form/form name across to the heading “Processing Cases with Receipt Date of”. The date shown in this column represents the filing date of the application or petition that is currently being processed at this Service Center."

So officially they are processing 485 cases filed around July 22nd 2004.

Practically, it does not mean much. It is true that you can raise an inquiry if published date move 30 days past your RD, but it does not mean that they have process all cases before June 22nd, or even May 2004.
