1/14 2nd Interview 1/17 Place in Que?

What do i make of this multiple and sometimes conflicting information. 1/14 i was told that i should be receiving a 2nd interview letter. I called today asked about my Oath. She checked the system and told me that "Nothing is schedule yet." She then said wait "As of 1/17/08 it's placed in que" I don't know what to think. Please shed some light! Waitforsolong, Ladybuggy,Atlantabrother and others.

So you haven't received 2nd interview letter yet, but you went ahead and inquired about oath? Did you ask them on 1/17 about what they told you on 1/14 about 2nd interview letter?
 
No word about the 2nd interview. I just ask the lady to check if anything has changed since the last time i called.

I honestly what to think either. I am sorry. I know you mentioned my name and I wish what to tell you.
I would give from today 4 weeks. If neither has arrived. 2nd Interview Letter or Oath Letter I would go ahead and file a 1447b (I think that is what it is).

I am so sorry you have to go through that.
 
NameCheck, I think you will probably be asked to update your status first before any decision can be made upon your case, since your official naturalization interview was 2005 (am I right about the date?) So, probably a second interview or a i215w form before oath, I think. I think maybe the IO meant to say that you are in the queue to get an interview letter or whatever next step for you.
Trust me, I understand your feeling to rush to mailbox to check mail everyday. I have been doing it for past two years!! :(
Well, right now, for me, I just try to distract myself with other stuff, while counting the days going by. :|
I have two friends who were stuck in name check for years for their green card. They all got their green card last year. They told me that "it is just like that, suddenly it came, in the mailbox!".
Let's all hope that one day we will have *it*...
