(08/27/02) Just Spoke with IIO (nice lady)

I called INS,VT today for the very first time after filing I485 to ask about my EAD renewal and confirm address change.

She was very helpful.
When i asked her if i should wait for I485 results or go ahead and renew my EAD, the lady was very positive that i should hear something in a week or two.

And that my case is under Review. She said that i can expect approval any time.

Also, my dependent's(spouse) file was never combined with mine. We filed at different dates.And IIO said that my dependent's 485 will be processed separately.

Also, the official RD she mentioned twice was September 1st.

And she is not like the IIO's who know nothing.

Again RD mentioned today was September 1st,2001

my 485 RD: september 7th,2001

Can you please let us know ur RD ? Good to know that they are processing till Sept 1st. Hope all the pending August and July filers get cleared before Sept goes into full fledge.

The IIO's should not be saying the word 'approved', instead they should be saying 'decided'.......right?

Not necessary dude. Some may be optimistic and some may be pessimistic.

Some may be optimistic and some may be pessimistic.
Well, we will change it to decided now.

I guess that should suffice.
