02-047 case approved on 8/13/02!

Hi, I visited this forum for a long time and finally it's time to share my great news:

Both my husband and my 485 case was approved on 8/13/02 according to the AVM. I have called INS on 8/14 to confirm our approval.

Case#: WAC-02-47-5XXXX
EB 2, RIR
PD: I don't know what's the PD. We started our application at the end of Nov, 2000. Labor only took 3 weeks while I-140 took about 8 months (with RFE after 4 months) after we filed it in Feb, 2001.
RD: 11/13/01
ND: 11/23/01
AP: 01/09/02
EAD: March, 2002
FP: 4/09/02 (I took a 2nd FP on 5/09/02)
Approve Date: 8/13/02

INS officer told me today that our approval notices were sent on 8/13/02, and we need to bring two photographs when we go to stamp our passports.

I kept checking AVM every 3 or 4 days, and the message was always "999 days" until yesterday. When I heard the work"this case has been approved on August 13th, 2002", I just couldn't believe my ear. My husband said I must have entered the wrong case number.

BTW, I'm in Sunnyvale, and took the FP in San Jose INS office. My husband is the primary applicant.

Only called INS once on last Monday (8/5/02). A female officer told me that our case has not been assigned to an officer yet, she said they are dealing with July cases. Since our case is in Nov, it may take other 4 months to get approved. But only after ONE week after this call, our cases got approved. That's why my husband and I can't believe the AVM. I spent half an hour in my office to call INS on Wes to confirm this news. My experience: DON'T believe INS officer! They just want to make us more frustrated.

Congrats and tks for all the sequential information u have provided, u said yr case went from 999 days to approved? no FP received avm message? pls let us know
