You can start looking for a job. Show the employer your I797 for I485 and I765. You should get your EAD within three months so that should not pose a problem.

I guess you will have to wait. Two more weeks and if nothing shows up, go to DO and get interim EAD. You may want to schedule InfoPass appt now. Usually takes 2 weeks to get an appt. Can always cancel it if you get EAD approved before then. P

I did talk to the immi officer and the above info I gave was what she told me. Seems like they cannot issue another one. If lost in mail, have to re-apply. Isn't that silly?
