Can you let me know what supporting letter did INS need for your 485 REF? I am waiting for my 485 approval now... (NIW)

I called the number, but it is only for FP result. I was told we need to call 202-324-3000 for name check result. I called but nobofy answered.

Sorry for hearing that. Gather all ducuments which can prove that you rescheduled 2nd FP ,and file MTR as soon as possible. I am not sure how long it takes though. Don't panic, but act as fast as you can...

Hello: I have been visting this forum frequently. I noticed a lot of 2002 485 case get approved. I found the approval usually come after one or two month after FP. My question: Is the name check after or before FP? If it is after FP, how can it only take one month or two month to get name...

Thank you for your reponses, folks. I filed NIW using my chemisitry bakground, but was working as a software engineer. That is why I worried about my 485 approval. It is very difficult to switch to Chemisitry filed without work permit. I am not sure if I can take risk and use EAD now...

I had my FP on 3/29. I brougth FP notice, 485 receipt, drive licence and passport. The guy at door will check these three documents. Then the person who takes your FP will check your drive licence again.

you'd better stay until your 1-485 get approved. If company revoke your 1-140 after you leave, you will get into trouble. Just hang in there until final approval.
