Got my family's FP notice today. When FPs are completed late on in the process. Hoping that 485 can be approved quickly -

You will qualify for a Social Security number when you get your visa, so you would be able to join a US-located payroll. This is better than staying on a foreign payroll from a point of view of accessing money, paying taxes, getting locally offering benefits plans, building a US credit score...
Do not even think of doing this alone. The L1-A process is very complicated when setting up a new US company - mostly they are afraid of people exploiting the system and using a new company incorporation as a shell/back door route to residency.
