A person who has Canadian PR and US Green Card, what would happen if the person shows his US Green Card and not his Canadian PR when entering Canada, will they find out that the person hold canadian PR ? Thanks

Sure disaster of one of the other but never both. Because the problem in having 2 permanant residence is that you cannot maintain both. That being said, if you can maintain 1 or the other, then you are fine. In canada PR can be out of canada for 3 years without running into any problems.

As far as Canada goes, I do know that they don't care if you are Citizen of other countries or not, as long as you maintain their PR they are fine.

Why should I loose them both. If US has a problem, then I can always become a Canadian Citizen because I acquired Canadian PR after US Green Card. Canada should have no problems, it's because of them I gave up or would give up US GC. Makes sense?

That sucks, I would like to keep them both. I don't want to give my Canadian PR without them asking it from me. If it boils down to that, then I will do whatever is needed. Could someone please answer my question.

it makes sense if they scan US green cards when coming in and going out, but what if the person completely shows canadian pr and not us green card and just shows them when getting into us. u know what I mean?

I convinced my uncle to stay in Canada with us and ditch US for good. Canada has much great things to offer along with good people and people with a very good attitude towards new immigrants. Thanks any do answer the questions for others

Off course they scan for GC for people crossing, when did they just let peopel in without checking.
