Card received today (PSD:9/28/04). Updated the file.

I went through recent posts and updated the file as much as I could.

I got an email saying a card was ordered for me on 3/23. PSD: 9/28/04 My spouse (PSD: 11/17/04) is still waiting.

Not sure about Europe but I traveled to Asia in January with 551 stamp only. Just 3 three simple Qs asked when returning to US: How did you get your GC (through employment)? Who is your employer? Where did you get your stamp?

You could travel or do whatever PRs can do once your pp has been stamped because you are a PR now. The only thing is that you have to go for stamping again once the current one expires in 1 year.

You guys should go to the local office and ask them if you can get FP done early. At least try. In my spouse's case, the officers were mad at first asking us why we were there early and they could not fit us in...blah blah blah. Then we told them that many people had the early FP experience...

As VizagBlues said, you can get your FP done first and ask them to reschedule your wife's appointment if she cannot come back on time. But you never know how long this will delay your wife's case. In my case, I went to get my 2nd FP done and got approved in 40 days. But my spouse, who was not...

Well, that was different from what I was told by the 800 number. When I called yesterday to ask about the welcome letter and plastic card, a lady said she would ask someone to send my welcome letter. But she did not know about the plastic card except it may take 6-9 months to arrive!!
