Does anyone know how much time it typically takes BCIS to respond to an inquiry on a case that has been submitted once the case is 30 days past the current processing date. I wonder how often this forces a decision on the case or do they simply respond that they are working on it and to be patient.

I just confirmed that the results were also sent the same day. I called my lawyer to tell them this and there was no surprise that different people get different answers to the same questions.

I was fingerprinted on 11/26 and was wondering about the next steps. How long does it take between FP and having it approved by the FBI. How long does the name check take. How long between when the FP results are received by INS and my 485 is approved.

We are going to give it a try in the next week. I will post my experience once I am done.

Finally, the day has come that I have been asked to appear on 12/22 for fingerprints in Charlotte. Problem is, I will be out of the country then. Is it possible to go early to get the FP. Whatever I do, I don't want to jeapordize the process. Any help is appreciated.
