They put 01/06/2006 as resident since date.
Unfortunately I-90 instructions say that if you need corrections, you need to send the actual card in. I looked up processing times for I-90 in Nebraska. It is June 1, 2005 - 7 months...
Here is what they have on USCIS.gov:
If you are filing...
I received my GC, the category is right, but it is not backdated. They just have to do something wrong....I think I will wait before sending them my card back for correction (Just hate to part with it right after I got it). Or should I send it over for correction? What if they make me wait for...
Congrats, Gebre!!! Now we have a reason to celebrate!!! Enjoy every moment of it! (Although for me it does not feel like something it should have felt like. I guess at this point we've waited for too long to be surprised or to be super happy). But anyway, it feels good. Congrats again.
They did ask for the original passport, but they do not ask everybody, as far as I know. There weren't many posts from folks who had to mail them their original passport. Do not worry, they might not ask you for it.
Here is the magical email.

to Adjust Status
Current Status:
This case has been approved. On January 6, 2006, an approval notice was
mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice,

I believe this time it is mass fingerprinting again. They don't look at your file, just all applicants with ND before Dec 31, 2002 are getting refingerprinted, as we read on this immigration.com site, link to which was posted here not so long ago.
Just wanted to mention that both the primary applicant and I got bio appointment letters in the mail yesterday scheduled for December 7 in Newark, NJ. The interesting thing is: Me - code 3, him - code 1??? We both had code 2 taken in August. Weird.
I also changed my I-94 to a indefinite, so I was hoping that they would give me a 4 year license in New Jersey, but they gave me a 1 year and 3 months one instead.
When I tried to protest I was told that because my document says "indefinite" I'm obliged to come there every 3 months and show my...
Want! You are a bit too pessimistic, I think. Cheer up, man...we will all be there soon. You can't deny big improvements on USCIS side, I mean compared to how things were before....
