Check finally cashed on 10th Dec. I do not show any number in the front of the check. The number on the back brings up Nov 14th as the receive date ! Well. got to wait for the NOA now.

They got 1 year visa from calcutta consulate on Apr 25th. They used the drop box as my Dad is 65+. Submitted on 22nd April got the passports 25th April. Pretty fast !!

nkm is right .... with CP u have the option to ask for a totally new SSN number too .... but that is really upto u ....or else u still keep the old SSN and if u want (which I suggest) u get it changed to reflect the PR status .... rest is as nkm said ....
