Since I was refused a visa because I didnt have enough work experience, I strongly feel that if I apply for the visa at the Madras Consulate now, there is a good chance of approval this time, because I have 3 more years of experience now...

I had a 221(g) in Sept. 2000.
The Consular Officer said "B.Com + 2.5 years experience not enough".
I have been in Australia since October 2000. I now have 5.5 years experience. I am on a work visa in Australia.
The same company that processed my H1 in 2000 is doing another H1...

FYI i have not yet started my GC process. Even my LC has not yet been filed.
i am just doing a complete research on the GC and want to know the entire process before even starting so that i dont get stuck somewhere down the track...

my understanding is that you can apply as EB3 "Skilled Worker" with a 3 year degree.
4 year degrees are necessary only for EB3 "Professional".
Is there any processing time difference between these two?

could someone kindly explain the GC process in brief, and also at what point can I transfer my H1 visa to another employer without affecting the Green Card application.
