I am also in same boat. Applied on 9/2/2010. Received yellow letter on 11/2 and finger printing done on 11/26. Today called USCIS customer service. As per them it will take about a month for IL.

Thank you all for reply. This is a N 400 application. Online status was last updated on 9/14/2010 and reflects the status as "Initial Review." I don't had any biometric other than at the Port of Entry in the month of August on my return from India.

It means that Approval notice can be used in liue of PP stamp/GC for employment purpose. Thanks,
