I received a mail saying I am scheduled to have FP2 on June 18 '02.
Now, I'm new to my job (6 months) and in Chicago, how come my service center on the notice says 'ESC'. What does it stands for? Although, the mail came from Vermont.
I'ts good that you got 2nd FP, at least you know that they are looking at your papers. Mine, is RD Feb 14, 2002. And after the fingerprinting in June 2002, I haven't received any from USCIS to say that my case is not lost.
I was cleaning up my desk this morning when I suddenly noticed the paper my approved EAD Card came with. It says in the paper 'Use this application to speed you application for extension...' Aha! When I applied for this renewal, I enclose in my mail the previous paper I had a year ago. Maybe...
I can't believe it. After all the trouble I went to get an interim less than 90 days pending, my EAD got approved last March 24. I thought it takes VCS 5 months to approve EAD.
My current EAD, issued by VSC,will expire on March 31st and my '90 days pending' renewal is due on April 12th. So, trying my luck on the IEAD, I went to Chicago INS on March 18 at 5:30 am. There were 5 people lining outside INS. By the time the building opened at 7,
the whole block was...
ginnu,
Do you keep track of your drivers license processing time? Or your car registration processing time? These are also government services, man.
Remember, not all EAD holder are IT people. Some does not have the luxury to look in the internet every month and check the processing time.
I didn't apply 5 to 6 months befrore expiry, because I wasn't notified. I applied the same way as I did last year and now we have this issue of 90 days. Were you notified?
I know on new employment that employers do check on work validity. But for expiring EAD, do employers immediately check the day the EAD expires? Do they keep track of it? Or say, if you still have 10 days after EAD expires and 10 days before the 90 day of IEAD, can you just keep it to yourself...
A lot of us, migrated here because we have great skills to be competitive. If you get lay off, believe in yourself, find another job! And what's more? You already got your Green Card, even blue colar job is now open to you. Don't go looking for the unemployment line.
No, you misunderstood me. My EAD will expire on March 31st. My renewal got filed last Jan 15. So my 90 days will be in April 15. On my my 70th days of filing, which is on March 25th, I will try to file an interim.
I wish I was this precise when I filed my renewal. I could have filed earlier.
Oh, you're lucky amcom. You got your EAD in 41 days. Well, I'm short by at least 15 days before I can file my IEAD. Five days before the expiration of my current EAD, I will try to get an interim.
